Join SCRWP in volunteering & fundraising for Books Through Bars, which sends free books to people incarcerated in PA and nearby states! Volunteers will read letters from inmates, match book requests from a donated-books library, package them up, and then have lunch!
Books have been shown to make a huge difference in the life of inmates, especially when they try to readjust to society after prison. Please join for this event, located at 4722 Baltimore Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19143.
